Terms and Conditions – Patients Care Fund Donation Campaign and Prize Draw
These Terms and Conditions govern donations made through this website in support of the Patients Care Fund at Mayo University Hospital ("the Campaign"). By making a donation, you agree to these Terms and Conditions.
1. Vision
The Campaign is operated for the benefit of the Patients Care Fund at Mayo University Hospital.
2. Donations
2.1 All donations made through this website are voluntary and are intended solely to support the Patients Care Fund at Mayo University Hospital.
2.2 By completing a donation, you acknowledge that your payment is a charitable contribution and is not made in exchange for goods or services.
2.3 All donations are final. Once a donation has been successfully processed, it cannot be cancelled, refunded, reversed, or exchanged except where required by applicable law.
2.4 It is the donor's responsibility to ensure that the donation amount is correct before completing payment.
3. Prize Draw
3.1 Every eligible donation received during the Campaign Period will automatically receive one entry into the prize draw.
3.2 Each individual donation constitutes one entry into the draw, regardless of the donation amount, unless otherwise stated by the Organiser.
3.3 Two winners will be selected at random after the Campaign closes.
3.4 Each winner will receive one signed jersey.
3.5 The prize is non-transferable, non-exchangeable and no cash alternative will be offered.
3.6 If a winner cannot be contacted within 14 days of the initial notification, or declines the prize, the Organiser reserves the right to select an alternative winner.
3.7 The Organiser's decision regarding the draw and the winners is final.
4. Eligibility
4.1 The prize draw is open to individuals aged 18 years or over.
4.2 Employees, volunteers or immediate family members of the Organiser may be excluded from the prize draw where appropriate to ensure fairness.
5. Campaign Period
Entries will be accepted from the date the Campaign opens until the published closing date.
Donations received after the closing date will support the Patients Care Fund but will not be entered into the prize draw.
6. Winner Notification
Winners will be contacted using the contact details provided at the time of donation.
The Organiser may publish the winners' names (or first name and county only) where required by law or for transparency, unless otherwise prohibited.
7. Personal Data
Personal information collected during the donation process will be used to:
Process your donation.
Administer the prize draw.
Contact winners where applicable.
Comply with legal and financial obligations.
Personal data will be processed in accordance with applicable data protection legislation, including the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), and the Organiser's Privacy Policy.
8. Limitation of Liability
The Organiser accepts no responsibility for:
Technical failures affecting the donation platform.
Incomplete or unsuccessful donations due to network or payment provider issues.
Circumstances outside the Organiser's reasonable control that prevent the prize draw from being conducted as planned.
Nothing in these Terms excludes liability where it cannot legally be excluded.
9. Changes to these Terms
The Organiser reserves the right to amend these Terms where necessary to comply with legal requirements or to ensure the proper administration of the Campaign. Any updates will be published on this website.
