Why We Chose The Patient Care Fund At Mayo University Hospital
Why?
PJ’s mother had hoped to make a donation to the Patient Care Fund at Mayo University Hospital when she recovered from her illness, as a thank you for all the work they had done for her during her time in hospital.
Unfortunately, she passed away in early June and never got the chance to make such a donation, but now we want to make one in her memory. With the wonderful platform we have, we want to ask you to help out with any small amount you can.
Driven by Care
The Patient Care Fund has only one job: to make the time in hospital as comfortable and peaceful as possible for both patients and their families. Whether it be as simple as pillows and throws for overnight visitors, or upgrading whole wards and facilities to improve comfort.
Having spent nights with Mum, I saw first-hand the work that they did and the lengths they would go to care for people, and would stop at nothing until they had done all they could.
This fundraiser is a thank you to them, in memory of a woman who was nothing short of incredible.
